Prompt: In A Worn Path, Phoenix faces several obstacles as she makes her way toward her destination, but she continues because she has an important reason for completing her journey. Think about a time when you had to travel somewhere or work through obstacles to reach a destination or goal. What challenges did you face along the way? Was the journey worth it in the end? Explain why or why not.

Prompt Response: One time I had to read a bunch of books for this competition, but I waited and I only had days left with no books read. So I decided to power through and read every single book for hours on end to finish in the time that I had. It was very difficult because I often was staying up very late into the night to finish a book. In the end I was able to finish all of the books in time, it was tough but I got through them all. It was definitely worth it because it ended up working out.

Summary: We worked on a worn path.

Reflection: I learned about the deeper meaning of the Themes in the story.
