Prompt: Today, you had the opportunity to express yourself through poetry. Reflect on your creative writing process. What did you find most enjoyable or challenging about turning your thoughts into a poem? Did this assignment change the way you think about poetry or creative writing? Explain your experience.

Prompt Response: I enjoyed how much the assignment really made me think about how to fit my words together. Keeping a consistent rhyme scheme while also adding figurative language and matching that with my poem topic was a challenge. But brainstorming the right words that would fit those lines was kind of fun in a way. It definitely made me value poetry more as I understood how in depth the creation process was.

Summary: We created our own poems.

Reflection: I gained insight on how to structure and create a poem.
